“So glad we were able to visit the gallery during our trip!”

To be honest, I was drawn first by the complimentary wine/espresso, but the experience itself exceeded my expectation.

Donna’s paintings were very colorful and each piece has an interesting story behind.  The gallery was very spacious and you can really take your time to soak in the artwork with a glass of wine!  Highly recommended for anyone visiting New Paltz.

“Bought Three Pieces”

I was never a big fan of modern art. I am probably still not. But I ended up buying three pieces here. I think that art touches everyone differently. I actually made enough of a connection with a piece at this gallery, I had to walk out with it (a repro anyway). The pieces are creatively enough titled that you spend some time finding the title in the art, and you find it. For those of you who, like me, find modern art a little weird, check this gallery out. I think it’s eclectic enough to have something for everyone. I’m proof of that.

“Awesome Art Gallery!”

Loved visiting this place! Donna was super friendly and wonderful. I loved hearing her talk about her art and really found her pieces interesting. Bought a few prints to start but I love discovering artists like this in such quaint places like this. I want to be in touch and see how her pieces evolve over time.

“Highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for that special gift!”

I visited over the weekend with my friends. We were looking to pick out a gift for our friends who just purchased their first home. Donna and Ken who were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable gave us an amazing tour and took the time to help us pick out the perfect gift. They made sure that the sizing was just right while being very hospitable & offering wine/coffee, while we took our time. We are very excited for our friends to see their gift. I know they will love it!

“A Fantastic Art Gallery to Visit”

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were well received. Ken was a gracious host explaining the gallery concept. We entered the original art gallery and were invited to take our time and enjoy the art! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute there.

“The gallery itself is beautiful, bold and bright.”

On our trip back from a vineyard in the Upper Hudson Valley, my friends and I decided to look up things to do in New Paltz.  I’m so glad we did!  The gentleman responsible for the prints greeted us upon entering the gallery.  He was very kind and informative.

The gallery itself is beautiful, bold and bright.  The best way to describe the art is “happy art”.  We even got to meet the artist who was extremely sweet.  She offered to give us a tour of her studio and it was inspiring indeed.

I purchased a few prints, but can’t wait to own a DM Weil painting one day.  I would definitely recommend visiting this gallery.  I’ll definitely go back for a visit soon!

“One of the highlights of the recent Open Studio Tour”

We went as one stop on the self-guided Gardiner Open Studio Tour. I didn’t even know about this beautiful gallery previously and was happy to learn that they also do printing, as I am also an artist. The artist was very welcoming and happy to show us her work, and the large gallery itself was open and bright. Her work was fresh, colorful and exciting.

“Truly an amazing art gallery.”

There are tons of amazing pieces created by DM Weil. She is such a nice person, who takes the time out to tell her stories with you. She has such great knowledge and insight on why she chose to do certain pieces and what the meaning behind them mean. The front has a cool shop where they sell merchandise and as you walk towards the back you see these doors leading to the gallery. Once you enter the gallery its a different world!! There are beautiful pieces, a gorgeous piano, incredible space, and a chic bar setup!

This gallery is certainly a place to visit especially if you are upstate in New Paltz. It is somewhere we will revisit and are thinking about making a nice purchase.

Make the trip out here, it is worth it!
