WHAT’S UP? SERIES 

In 2006 I began to see shapes in what were formerly my foundational under paintings. Unfinished Symphony and Creamsicle were the first of my works created with “filled in” shapes. The What’s Up? series was born out of a commission based on Creamsicle. Changing themed colors to fit the client’s space, four pieces were created. One “lives” in a Manhattan home and the other 3 hang here. The rest followed over the next 6 years periodically when I felt drawn into delving deeper into this theme. They are stories about relationships and how life too often gets in the way of us truly connecting with one another. In these times, I find it compelling to share this collection in the hope that we can find our common humanity despite our isolation and physical separation from one another.
